Combat History

Along with Team Heracles and Team Perseus, Team Agamemnon was one of the original elements of the 111th Combined-Arms Regiment. Team Agamemnon's first CO was Major Samuel Armstrong Buford, Colonel Feldman's most skilled and trusted officer. Under Major Buford, during their trial by fire on Tiras Nor, the greatly outnumbered Aggies withstood savage and reemitting attacks that allowed Team Heracles to flank and destroy the enemy.

Since that time, the Agamemnon Team has participated in every major armed conflict and many covert operations involving the Federal Forces, earning a terrifying reputation for excellence under fire while completing extremely difficult assignments which have broken other elite units. In the process, during the Unification Wars, they've achieved the highest kill ratio of any unit of SOCOM and have captured the most enemy colors.

Notable Members

Colonel Ray Gendo

Despite more than a half-century since his passing, Ray Gendo's name is still spoken with awe and reverence across the galaxy. Ray's valor and toughness are legendary, and still taught to school children across the Terran Military Order. Among other things, in the Akashan War of Independence, he became the first infantryman to singlehandedly frag a mobile armor. During that conflict he was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and appointed the Team's Executive Officer. As XO, Ray led and oversaw volunteers from Team Agamemnon who served as test pilots of Project RX, the crash test program to develop the first Terran mobile armor.

Later promoted to Colonel and billeted the Team CO, Ray led the Aggies with great distinction during the first part of the Corvian War of Independence until he was killed in action.

Major Achilles Wellington

Volumes having been written elsewhere about him, suffice to say that Major Achilles Wellington is widely regarded as one of the finest, if not THE best, mobile armor pilots and all-around warriors of all time. Much of this reputation was built during the period of unrest leading up to the outbreak of the Second Unification War. During this period, upon transferring to Team Agamemnon from the 4th Marine Force Recon regiment, Wellington developed a fierce rivalry with the Republic's top ace, Colonel Marcus Hector. Unfortunately, this rivalry abruptly broke off after Colonel Hector's sudden illness.

Lieutenant General Baden Strong

Before he became the Commander of the Fifth Corps, for five years, Baden Strong served as Team Agamemnon's CO, while simultaneously serving as a staff officer of the Second Army Group. When planning operations for the Second, he often reserved the most difficult assignments for the Agamemnon Team. Thus, he was often able prove his strategic and tactical genius at the same time.

Strong is no slouch in the cockpit either. When Team Agamemnon spearheaded Operation Guillotine, then-Colonel Strong singlehandedly defeated three members of the Azure Team of the Shadow Knights while enroute to fragging the Chancellor of Akasha.
